We have been working away on the latest version of the Firefox plugin.. here is a sneak preview of what's about to released in version 1.1.5
As you browse the internet or e-mails if there's an address you would like to find or save for later all you need to do is select the address, right - click and select Create a PinPoint or select it from the toolbar. We'll then only need you to name the PinPoint so you can tell it apart from other PinPoints and once that's done we'll give you a PinPoint that you can view or share without leaving your e-mail or current web page.
A PinPoint is a mini URL that you can use to share a location with friends or colleagues or find a business. A PinPoint can also be viewed on smartphones programming your mapping application to make finding the location much easier.
The purpose of the PinPoints addon is to make creating and sharing PinPoints or locations simpler and easier to use by taking the creation of PinPoints to a new level. We have taken finding places a step further by allowing people to create FREE accounts with yourpinpoints.com where they can create edit and follow the PinPoints they create, here's where this addon comes in useful.
Without having to visit www.yourpinpoints.com you can create a pinpoint while browsing the internet. You see an address you would like to find or share with a friend or save for later all you have to do is select the address and create PinPoint we create the PinPoint for you, we give you a map preview of the PinPoint as you would have on yourpinpoints.com with options to open google or bing maps to view it more, share via twitter or e-mail the location but if you have something else in mind you don't need to copy the PinPoint we've done that for you too. It's that simple.
And again if you're a registered user you can enter your Username and Password in
"Tools -> PinPoints Addon -> Your Preferences"
and the PinPoints you create become manageable on your account.
What you can do from the addon...
1. Create a PinPoint from an address.
2. Give your PinPoint a name.
3. Preview the PinPoint you just created.
4. View the PinPoint with Google or Bing maps.
5. Share your PinPoint via Twitter.
6. Share your PinPoint via e-mail.
7. Paste the PinPoint wherever you like.
8. Go to your yourpinpoints.com account and manage or edit the PinPoint.
